So I was reading a little bit of The Fountainhead, which is one of my favorite books of all time right. Yeah, so I thought it was a little appropriate to finally admit to myself that maybe I don't understand some elements of the damn book. Like how, and how in the world, I can respect such a dominance of Roark over Dominique. Like he is the God. Or not the God. But the perfect image. And the whole world, corrupt and ignorant, is only making him a martyr, because he's so fucking special. The character don't feel, but only for themselves, except for Dominique who cares for Roark so much that she dedicates her own life to making his hell, so that he doesn't have to suffer the indignities of the rest of the world that doesn't even acknowledge that he is a martyr. Do you understand the complexity of that?? Sometimes I don't. I think, why the fuck, all of this, to protect and destroy the same man, with the same actions. You hurt him to protect him? And this man, he feels nothing. Sure, pain. He's a robot. The love he expresses is totally skewed. Or am I just taking the side of the status quo, which is what Rand is up against here. Either way, I just think it's all so warped. It's a nice idea. An ideal way to live, sure. But I can't say that the Keatings in my life are all the same, all selfish, blah blha blah, there's more to it. But yeah, I guess....everytime I read the book it invokes some thought though, so that's cool. And I love it, doesn't mean I can't think somethin different everytime I read it.
Yeah yeah, so this one's boring. Tell me something I don't know. I spent like 2 hours watching Entourage.
UHM. yeah that's all...omg. 12 only...i wanna fuckin pass out!!!!!!!!!! goodnight.
