Two reasons The O.C. is good television:
1. Good music. Case in point: Death Cab For Cutie. Case in point: The mention of Bright Eyes. Case in point: Tonight's episode contained a very beautiful version of "If You Leave" that would probably succeed in bringing me to tears should the moment ever present itself. Case in point (last one, really, even though there are a lot more cases in point): Damien Rice being played. Geez... its like they steal the songs right off my mix CDs.
2. For one hour of everyday, I think that maybe this is the best guiltiest pleasure ever. Screw The West Wing and Angel (I'll catch re-runs). At 9 o'clock on Wednesday night, my eyes are fixed on Fox. Except for commercial time, I never stick around for those.
Thank you for reading my little tribute to The O.C.. We will now return to the regularly scheduled programming.
