I am no longer a concert-virgin. Yes, you read it. Tonight I was officially unvirginized. And we're not counting that time at Andover at that talent show and that guy was playing unplugged of songs he wrote (though, those were pretty awesome).
Anyway, we missed Vendetta Red, not that I care much, because I haven't really heard them. Only one song. On the radio. But we got there just in time for Brand New and just in time for my heart to be tugged out of my chest and exposed to the whole world as it beated nervously in the presence of the Tearjerkers known as Brand New. Yes. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, that was the only band, I could say that I could sing along to, because that's the band I knew best there. The people I went with got separated, and I found myself in a crowd of smelly, tall people. When MXPX came up, there was a lot of movement in the crowd. At one point I was pushed and was about to fall until this girl took my hand and helped me get on this step. I didn't know who it was. And then this other girl elbowed me in the chin, because I'm so fuckin short, and I got a little mad, but then I looked at her and she was apoligizing to me. So I laughed and said, "That's OK" because she said sorry and that made her a decent person in my book. And so I was pushed and all that, and all these people were going insane. I liked MXPX. I never really heard their music, but for maybe a couple songs, but I really like them now. I envied the people who could sing along because the songs sounded cool. Anyway, when Dashboard got on, all the crazy people turned into calm, singing people with occasional relapses. Dashboard's good too. I never really was very fond of Dashboard, but now that I've seen them and heard more of their stuff, they're really OK. I think I've been missing out.
I bought an MXPX hoodie. It's the best.
Right now I'm listening to Brand New.
I'm going job hunting tomorrow.
My ass has a bruise on it. Those fuckin' people who were jumping and kneeing my ass. That's FUCKD up. Anyway, I'm feeling a little sleepy.
THANKS JAMIE FOR BRINGING ME TO THE CONCERT! I HOPE YOUR PARENTS DIDN'T FREAK OUT TOO MUCH! YOU ROCK THE CASBAH.
