The Morning After
Yesterday's was my cousin Mac's first bday. Apparently, parents go all out for this occassion. And there is this Filipino superstition about cutting hair. You're not supposed to cut a kid's hair before his/her first birthday. Its bad luck or something like that. But when you do, you should have the hair cut by someone you want the kid to be like. So, if you want your child to be smart, you will have his/her hair cut by a very smart person. If you want your kid to be sexy, how about a sexy person. And if you want the your kid to a smart, suicidal, writer-type, that will break out at the age of twelve, you will have me cut your child's hair. They chose me. They chose my cousin Anthony and me. Because we're smart I guess. They're hilarious.
So let's see what this kid will inherit from my cutting his hair...He will be smart, but lazy. He might be the smartest out of all of us. He will be committed, but not dedicated. He will be happy, but once he turns eleven, and realizes all that he has known was a lie, he will go crazy. Hopefully that will not happen. Hopefully he will be smarter than us, and not trip. And he will just choose, God or himself, and not look back. Hopefully he will go to Yale, but for the right reasons. He will be a great basketball player, and hopefully his dad will send him to camp. Clear skin helps. I wanna wish him good luck. Because he needs it.
Oh yeah, my cousin uploaded the new Juliana Theory CD on my computer, Love. I think I like the previous ones better. But that might just be me.
